Combining domestic and exotic hardwoods to give color and style to familiar household items -- cutting boards, bowls, serving trays, candle holders, clocks and more -- and specialty items such as sushi plates and ikebana/flower vessels.
I design and make my products from a wide selection of domestic and exotic hardwoods. The hardwoods from Asia, Central and South America, and Africa complement domestic hardwoods by adding deep, rich colors and vivid grains. Most of my pieces feature laminates, inlays, or insets. Where a wood's natural edge is particularly interesting, I retain the edge in the design.
